Evelyn Menge


Evelyn Menge, a New Orleans artist, is best know for her 1992 Percent for Art public art project, titled “New Orleans Streets,” a 346’ x 18” long painted frieze located in the first floor corridor of City Hall above the hall’s marble wainscot. Menge is also a professional art educator having chaired the art departments at both Metairie Park Country Day and Louise S. McGehee.

Evelyn Menge taught watercolor painting at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts for several years.
