Patti Adams is the owner and director of the Garden District Gallery in New Orleans and is an award-winning painter in oils and watercolor. She has worked as a professional calligrapher in the city for over twenty-five years. Her work has appeared in Bon Appetit, Southern Living and Victoria magazines and locally for the Pickwick Club, New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club, Galatoire’s Restaurant, the Krewes of Rex, Athenians, Proteus and Hermes and throughout the acclaimed Windsor Court Hotel. She received her training at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art and has participated in numerous citywide art exhibitions, including those at her own gallery. She has designed and produced many commissions for individuals and organizations, including the American Harp Society, Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music in Chicago and locally for Longue Vue House & Gardens, the Garden District Association, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Orleans Opera. In 2010, she created the scenic artwork used in the opera’s production of The Magic Flute, her favorite opera and instrument! She is a member of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and teaches flute at Loyola University's College of Music and Fine Arts.
