Janet Urrate          

Janet Urrate, a resident of Louisiana for 22 years, has studied fine art and related arts during her career. She graduated from Michigan State University in Interior Design, worked as a commercial designer, and pursued additional study in lettering arts and painting through many national workshops and The New Orleans Academy of Fine Art from 1991 to 1998. She has been the recipient of awards for her painting and is represented in private and corporate collections. Working from her studio in Mandeville, she focuses her work in mixed media and experimental watercolor and is currently affiliated with galleries in Louisiana and Mississippi.
